C19 People’s Coalition (C19PC) Gauteng Food Security (FS) and Community Organising (CO) Working Groups (WGs) were initiated at a meeting of the C19PC Gauteng Task Team on 29 March 2020, three days after the lockdown. Food security and community organising were both identified as priority areas. The working groups delivered over 22 017 food parcels, as well as fresh produce (as parcels and for cooking) to over 49 communities, across Gauteng.
